Belle of the ball...Complete Look
GOLDEN GODDESS!
I was so inspired by Kiyonna's new Limited Edition glistening Lace Dress in sparkling champagne, I decided to post about it and construct the perfect look with make-up and accessories to compliment this dress. ( I have just ordered it for myself by the way, I simply must have it!)
I have always loved the look of lace with a little bit of shimmer, and the cut of this dress just oozes sophisticated class. Emphasize the sparkle with teardrop earrings and a golden bracelet with a lot of ice. Choose shoes in the same tone as the dress, a beautiful champagne or blush coloured heel, the heels will blend with your skin tone and will make your legs look a mile long. Make-up should be dewy, and have a touch of the same glisten that matches the lace. Make sure your skin has an even coat of bronzer, including your legs. Champagne colours really compliments nicely tanned skin, Below are my picks to create an entire look. There is something so refined and almost regal about this dress, you're sure to be the belle of the garden party or wedding.

Time for the Bling..bring on the sparkle! Opt for earrings and a statement bracelet, the V-shaped lace neckline of this dress is so ornate, a necklace would distract.

INSPIRED MAKE-UP
Remember think light golden shimmer, dewy skin..classic beauty. I would avoid eyeshadow with big chunky glitter or heavily tinted gold colours and opt for either a wet eyeshadow application or even a nice eye foil in a light gold shade, in this case I used Stila eye foils in metallic pixi dust, colour white gold. Lips are a pretty pink, Sephora Rouge Shine lipstick in 05 Shiny Moment ( I also added a little light shimmer shadow on the centre of my lips from a Hard Candy Quad. For cheeks I wanted to achieve the same healthy rosey tone colour..I used Smashbox LA lights Blendable cheek and lip colour in Venice Beach Bronze and Hourglass Ambient Bronzer to appear lightly sun kissed. Obviously, brunettes will choose slightly darker eye shadows and brows to compliment their colouring. My sister Anne, for example, would choose slightly darker bronze colours for her eyes.
All make-up below can be purchased online or at Sephora at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto.
