RUNWAY MAKE-UP TRENDS FOR FALL

RED or OX BLOOD LIPS

keep the rest of your face simple and swipe a dramatic red shade on your lips, remember to line the lips first to keep the colour from bleeding. Choose a matte colour. Red lip stains would be a pretty alternative for work.

GOTH BLACK OR DARK PURPLE LIPS (VAMPIRE)

This look is pretty tough for the average woman to pull off. It looks really chic if you pair it with some of the vampy Victorian clothes on trend this fall. If you can make it work go for it...I love it..but will be strictly wearing it around the house. If you want to try a variation. Pick a colour that has a hint of a berry tone in it, use it as a stain and layer a brighter berry hue on the centre of the lips...it will still be dramatic..but the lips won't make you look like dracula's bride.

OUR PICK.....not quite black

SMUDGY TO DRAMATIC EYELINER

I love this look. It's not too hard to do if you get an eyeliner with a precision tip and take your time. Once you smudge it..it's game over. at least for me. I like to keep my lips muted if I go heavy on eyeliner, but I have been seeing the dark eyes and dark lips together, making a comeback. Smudgy eleiner gives eyes a hint of smolder and romance....hard line eyeliner like this is pure mod. John Galliano, Rochas, Dior, and Chanel all displayed different variations on the runway..all had a very urban chic feel.

SMOKEY SOFT EYES/ BOLD BROWS

The look above from the Elie Saab runway, was heavy handed with products, but the rest of the face is dewy and youthful and balances the look out. It reminded me of a deconstructed Bridget Bardot....the eyes were blended out..and then smoked out again.... Big bushy brows also channel youth..if you are still overplucking your eyebrows STOP... My eyebrows are thin and I fill them in with pencils and brow shadow. I'm not really crazy about the unibrow look above...i prefer some taming.....but then again....I am a child of the 90's and became addicted to the no brow look.

I would debate going as dark with the eyeshadow in everyday life... I get up for work everyday at 2am and look tired enough...I think the smokey eye would give me the tired raccooon eye if I went with the dark shades...I'll probably copy this looks with warmer shades of brown, and a dark brown eyeliner instead of the black.
