Make-up Trends For Fall...Modern Gothic
(above) Jay trying out the modern gothic make-up trend that was big on the 2016 Autumn runway at NY Fashion Week.
The woman that walked down the runway at NY Fashion week was bold. She was beautiful, but you wouldn't want to mess with her. She has dark red to pure black lips and her eyes are fringed with major lashes or slicked with black greasy eyeliner and sooty eyeshadow. It's a dramatic look.
To make it more street friendly, try just the lips. If black lips scares that junk out of you ( it scares me) try a dark burgundy. I actually like to apply dark burgundy lipstick, blot, and add a bright red in the centre of my flips and blend. It's pretty, and lightens the look just enough.
Anything goes for eyes, just remember to keep it dark. Black liner, smudgy, smokey or winged out....black it out.
